DOC Collio Blends
Our DOC Collio wines—Preludio, Ouverture, and Unplugged—are deeply rooted in Friuli’s winemaking heritage. Grown on Ponca—the friable marl and sandstone that define Collio—the wines express the region’s signature minerality, elegance, and sense of place. Each is crafted from classic grape varieties chosen to reflect the terroir’s depth and balance.
Preludio is a DOC Collio Bianco with a bright, straw-yellow hue. It offers elegant aromas of dried herbs, white peach, almond pulp, and a touch of marine salinity. The palate is fresh and well-balanced, with fruit and mineral grip leading to a crisp, refined finish.
Ouverture is a DOC Collio Rosso, intense ruby in color, with fragrant notes of violet and ripe red fruit. On the palate, it is soft yet structured, revealing forest berries, subtle floral tones, and velvety smooth tannins .
Unplugged, the riserva of Preludio, is a richer expression labeled as DOC Collio Bianco Riserva. Straw-yellow with golden reflections, it presents aromas of ripe yellow fruit, white flowers, and dried herbs. Broad and warm on the palate, it delivers citrus peel and saline notes with a textured, lingering finish.
Indicazione Geografica Tipica
PIWI IGT Venezia Giulia Wines
Our PIWI IGT Venezia Giulia wines — Sinfonia and Opera — embody a forward-looking approach to viticulture, rooted in the values of sustainability and resilience. Grown on carefully selected parcels of land beyond the DOC zone, these wines are crafted from fungus-resistant grape varieties that require minimal chemical intervention — preserving biodiversity and respecting the natural balance of the environment.
Born from innovation and guided by purpose, they express a new harmony between territory and technique. Pure, precise, and full of character, they invite discovery with every glass.
Sinfonia is a Collio white blend of Sauvignon Kretos and Fleurtai, fermented in barriques and aged on fine lees. Straw-yellow with golden highlights, it reveals aromas of white fruit, almond, tropical notes, and soft florals. On the palate, it is vertical and mineral, combining sapidity with freshness for a clean, refined finish.
Opera is a red blend of Merlot Kanthus and Cabernet Eidos, vinified in wood and aged for twelve months in barriques. Ruby red and vibrant, it opens with notes of violet, wild berries, and woodland spice. The palate is agile and warm, supported by graceful tannins and closing on a savoury, cocoa-dusted finish.
Metodo Charmat
Improvviso — Ribolla Gialla Spumante Extra-Dry
Improvviso introduces a new rhythm to Friuli’s winemaking tradition — one that celebrates freshness, spontaneity, and joyful expression. Crafted from Ribolla Gialla and produced using the Charmat method — known in Italy as Metodo Martinotti — this sparkling wine captures the grape’s natural vibrancy with fine bubbles, floral aromatics, and a clean, mineral finish.
Originally developed in 1895 by Italian enologist Federico Martinotti and later refined for international production by Eugène Charmat, this method preserves the purity and aromatic brightness of native varieties through fermentation in pressurised tanks.
Made for moments of lightness and celebration, Improvviso offers a spirited take on a grape that has long defined the region. It is a sparkling companion to curiosity, conviviality, and the unexpected.
Renitens & Baby Renitens – PIWI White Blends
PIWI Collaborative Winemaking Project
Renitens and Baby Renitens are part of the Resistenti network — a visionary project led by oenologist Nicola Biasi, uniting a group of producers across Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Veneto, and Trentino who are committed to sustainable viticulture through fungus-resistant (PIWI) grape varieties.
Renitens is crafted from six PIWI cultivars grown in six distinct territories. Each is harvested and vinified separately — in stainless steel, barrique, or tonneaux — before being blended under Nicola Biasi’s direction to express complexity, harmony, and regional character.
The result is a refined and layered white wine with aromas of orange blossom, apricot, mango, lime, almond, and basil, gradually deepening into smoky and herbal nuances for a fragrant, persistent finish.
Baby Renitens offers a fresher interpretation of the same philosophy. Produced in extremely limited quantities and vinified entirely in stainless steel, it combines the same PIWI varieties — including Johanniter, Bronner, Solaris, Soreli, Sauvignon Kretos, Souvignier Gris, and Fleurtai — into a clean, vibrant, oak-free expression.
Lighter and more immediate, it captures the project’s values with clarity: sustainability, biodiversity, and a deep respect for the land.
