The Art of Depth and Presence

OPERA

PIWI IGT Venezia Giulia Rosso

Opera captivates attention. A red blend from fungus-resistant varieties, it is structured, poised, and resonant. With dark fruit, refined tannins, and quiet complexity, it unfolds slowly — a wine shaped not by speed, but by intention. A reflection on harmony, persistence, and depth.

VINTAGEIn 2022, the vintage in Collio was of excellent quality despite the dry and hot climate. After a rain-poor winter and a cold spring, temperatures rose sharply in May, causing drought. The harvest, which began at the end of August, benefited from the September rains, allowing us to obtain healthy grapes. We have harvested a smaller amount of grapes, with a good su- gar concentration and a slight increase in the acid component, which is essential for the aromatic balance of the future wine.
TASTING NOTESInnovative and sustainable, it expresses the evolution of a naturally suited territory through new balances among resistant grape varieties. Opera 2022 presents a lively ruby red colour; on the nose, it offers captivating notes of red fruit enriched with hints of spices and undergrowth. The body is agile and warm, supported by graceful tannins and a pleasant roundness. Dynamic and full-bodied, it has a savoury finish accompanied by a touch of cocoa powder.
