| VINTAGE | Despite the challenges posed by climate change, the grapes reached an exceptional level of quality, even sur- passing that of the previous year. The 2023 vintage was particularly rainy until the end of June, followed by a hot and dry July. Sub- sequently, a prolonged period of frequent rainfall combined with extremely high temperatures demanded meticulous atten- tion both during harvest and in the cellar. Thanks to the expertise and dedication of an outstanding team, along with innovative approaches, we successfully navigated these conditions, ensuring yet another excellent vintage for our DOC Collio wines. |

| VINTAGE | In 2022, Collio experienced a vintage of excellent quality, with peaks of true excellence. The grapes were harvested in outstanding phytosanitary condition. The resilience of the vines allowed them to withstand the challenges posed by the climatic conditions, which were marked by limited rainfall. Overall, the acid profile proved favourable for white wines. The winter season was characterised by water scarcity, followed by a hot and dry vegetative period. Spring was marked by an unusually cold April, which caused a slight delay in the onset of budburst. May brought a sharp rise in temperatures, with values well above average and a persistent lack of rainfall. The harvest, which began in late August, benefitted from the first rains and a generous September, with rainfall levels exceeding the historical average. |

| VINTAGE | One of the best vintages in recent times. 2021 began rich in rainfall. However, from the end of January until the beginning of Spring, the rains were scarce and the average monthly temperatures were higher than usual. April saw the rains return and temperatures drop significantly compared to the norm, such as the frost of April 7, which fortunately did not cause damage to our vines. Summer has passed with rather high temperatures, with nice days a few days of rain concentrated in the month of July. The harvest period ensured healthy grapes, while an appreciable night-time temperature range favoured the acquisition of excellent aromatic complexity. We have harvested a smaller amount of grapes, with a good sugar concentration and a slight increase in the acid component, which is essential for the aromatic balance of the future wine. |
| TASTING NOTES | Preludio 2021 is a straw yellow with slight greenish reflections wine. Elegant and well-balanced, it reveals the varietal characteristics; with hints of citrus, almond, and hints of peach with white pulp, sage and white pepper. A structured wine with great acidity and harmonious complexity, the lingering aroma invites another glass. |
